i have a csv file.I have a coulmn in csv file as group code.the value i enter is 003.(i formatted that cell & selected text).but whne my dataport reads the file it takes only 3 & hence fails @ validation of tht field.it should take 003.if i open the csv the 0 are gone.how to solve the problm.zi want 0 to be der o that my dataport run correctly.
goto view/dataport fields in opject designer and set values > 0 in width field.
are you adding the ‘003’ value to you csv file using Excel? If so, you may need to preface the entry with the apostrophe character to tell Excel to treat it as a literal.
Another option might be to edit the group code values with notepad or another text editor rather than using Excel.
