What is the easiest way to create printer macros with Navision Financials? And how to integrate it into NF? I used to have simple Windows program made in Denmark called FormMaker, but I have not been able to find it. ============ Best regards, Erik P. Ernst, webmaster Navision Online User Group
One way is to use an Axxis printserver which can be configured to substitute strings in the data that is sent to the printer. In that way You can make You own codes in the reports and have the printserver to change these to proper ESC-sequenses. We tried this with HP4000N. The only problem is that HP Resource Manager that is used to send the overlay to the printer doesn’t work togehter with the Axxis printserver. You’ll have to use both a JetAdmin interface for management and the Axxis printserver for printing. If anybody have a simpler (and cheaper) solution Yuo’re welcome. //Lars Westman
Have for a long time been using Easyform from another danish company called Frontdata - www.frontdata.dk. We still use the dos-version. Don’t know if they (allthough promised)have a Windows-version. The dos-version is a bit primitive, but it works and it is cheap. Good luck
