Our prospect is migrating from a system where they have search screens which are a subset of the fields on a table. The search produces a list of matching records from which they can either select a record to edit or transfer the matching items to Excel. It seems to me that the tablefilter button in combination with the lookup list from the card for the table will give them comparable functionality. What I would like is if they could see a predefined list of fields when they hit the tablefilter button. Is it possible to do this ?
Hi Bob, The table-filter fields default to the current active field when you open the filter window, and show any fields that have active filters. I am not sure if what youre asking can be done. How about developing a form based on the table with the predifined fields as controls on the form, then passing the filters back and applying using the COPYFILITERS function? If you know what I mean? (You can assingn Keyboard shortcut to this form!). — just an idea!
