Can anybody help me understand why one of the more popular Power Automate Flows is the PO approval flow when Business Central already offers this notification as part of the workflow setup? Or is this just a second way to accomplish the same? Is there any benefit to using Power Automate over the workflow notification setup?
It’s another way to complete the same task. The built-in approval process is legacy, PowerAutomate is where they want to take it.
I would recommend PowerAutomate just to avoid issues in the future if MS decides to remove the native functionality.
Also Power Automate offers more notification avenues like Teams and the approval network is beyond the scope of BC users. Clients who go against it are usually those who don’t have O365.
