· Normal starting time 8.00.00 AM (Manufacturing setup)

· Normal End time 7.59.59 AM (Manufacturing setup)

· Company run three work shift (8 hours for each)

  1. Here you can see PW it was calculated backward. Can’t we set it as forward calculation? (When run PW)

  2. Here I want to start the process & end the process sequentially. As an example,

a. Order no 4(item D) has to start first & after it finish only order No 3 (Item C) can start.

b. Then order No 2 (Item B) can start & after it finish only Order No1 ( item A) should plan

Sample plan.

Is there are any standard function to this scenario? Currently we customized.

The short answer: No.

You cannot make forward planning. It will always plan so that the demand will be fulfilled on the date you have told it to. Even if the components/sub boms/routes really doesn’t allow it. But that is supposed to be the exceptions and this were the planner comes it.

Hi

Found it. its a default function in NAV 2013. works fine.

Ok, may you like to explain it? Because if you’re able to do this in NAV 2013, then I would love to know how. So far it has never been possible.

“” Here I want to start the process & end the process sequentially. As an example,

a. Order no 4(item D) has to start first & after it finish only order No 3 (Item C) can start.

b. Then order No 2 (Item B) can start & after it finish only Order No1 ( item A) should plan “”

Above part is no need to customize,

If i change the Manufacturing policy on item card or SKU card as “MTO(Make to order)” system will calculate production order sequentially.

NOTE:- Its working on NAV 2009 also. I mean this function not a forward calculation part.

Ahh I thought you said that the forward calculation worked in NAV 2013, because that I am sure it doesn’t. The other part yes, that’s just a matter of setting it up “correctly”. [:)]
