Hi The user do not have permission to change the Customer, so i remove the standard ‘S&R-CUSTOMER, EDIT’ role from the user’s roles, but now when i try to print the ‘Statement’ documnet the system prompts with the following message ’ You do not have permission to modify Customer…’. But if i put back the role to the user the user can print the ‘Statement’. The requirement is the user should be able to print the ‘Statement’ document but should not be able to change the Customer info… any suggestions please thanx in advance…
Hi I believe the statement run updates the customer record with the last statement number, so the person running the statements has to have the ability to edit the customer, although I am sure you can tie this permission down further. Additionally if you are on 3.60 and have a customer changing issue, turn on the change log and track it.
I think you can do it as follows, 1. Give the report Statement permissions to modify Customer. 2. Create a role (or use an existing one) and give it Indirect modify permission on Customer. 3. Make your user a member of that role. Hope this helps, Jesús Soage
Hi Jesus Soage Thanks for the suggestion I have tried the way you hv suggested, but then it started saying the user has no permission to ‘Interaction Template’ table. I changed the permission for the report to include Interation table, but still it said the user did not hv permissions to modify the Interaction … table. I feel this falls into a loop…any suggestions please…
