PC World VN Sees Big Revenue Increase with TRG and Microsoft Dynamics CRM

(PRLEAP.COM) HCMC, 15th October 2007 - PC World VN, Vietnam’s leading computer magazine, has seen big revenue increases since implementing Microsoft Dynamics CRM, according to sales manager Doan Ngoc Diem Trang.

The CRM solution, which has over 250,000 worldwide users, was provided and implemented by TRG International, one of Vietnam’s leading providers of IT business solutions and services, and Trang explained to us why they chose TRG and Microsoft to meet their CRM requirements.


PC World VN’s decision to implement a CRM solution was influenced by three significant business challenges.

“Firstly, it was impossible for us to keep track of and follow up potential customers” says Trang. “Secondly, it was equally impossible for us to offer a high standard of service to our existing customers. And finally, we had no way of running professional and effective e-marketing campaigns.”

After studying these challenges and realising how solving them could increase their profits, they decided that a CRM solution would be the best way to collate all their various repositories of customer data in one place.

Trang explains: “As our existing IT infrastructure was already built on Microsoft technology, choosing another Microsoft solution minimised the amount of changes to our systems and reduced the time needed to deploy the software both on our servers and on our staff PCs. In addition, as Dynamics CRM is highly customisable, we were able to make sure it exactly matched our sales and marketing teams’ requirements.”

Of course, when deploying a business solution, the solution itself is only half of the equation – choosing the right vendor is also important, and Trang says PC World VN had no hesitation in choosing TRG International.

“Implementing Dynamics CRM was quite simple” Trang tells us. “TRG’s implementation service was very good.”

Trang also found it easy to get her staff to adopt the software, which can sometimes be the downfall of a CRM solution.

“Our staff are all familiar with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook” she said, “so they didn’t need a lot of training to use Dynamics CRM. And after we explained to them the benefits of using it, and how it would help them reach their sales targets, they were very happy to use it!”


Since going live with Dynamics CRM in June 2006, PC World VN has seen noticeable benefits and achieved a significant return on their investment.

“Now we have CRM we are able to classify and segment our customers and prospects, which helps us make more new sales and to better serve our existing customer base” Trang says. “It’s also easier for us to do quick marketing campaigns, and has helped make our e-marketing more effective.”

Best of all, Trang has seen PC World VN’s revenue increase as a direct result of implementing Dynamics CRM.

“Our revenue has increased by over 15% since we started using the solution!” she says. “Overcoming our business challenges has meant we are now able to focus on our bottom line.”
