Order date field use in calculate subcontracts window

Dear All,

I am not so sure and got enough understanding about the order date field in the calculate subcontracts windows in the subcon worksheet.

Based on online help:

"Order Date Field

The Calculate Subcontracts Batch Job

Enter the date that you want as an order date."

Does it means that I can create it not today or maybe 2 days later or depends on production need…? the default is today’s date but what it tells about order date that makes me not enough understanding. your answers are expected so much.

Simply put this is the date you “place” the order on the subcontractor, it defaults to today as the day you raise it assuming you are going to order it today.
