Open PDF File with "Find" parameter

Hi everybody. I need some help.

Let’s imagine a huge PDF catalogue. From the Item Card Users should open the catalogue

at the page dealing with Item’s features. I usually use the Microsoft Shell Controls And Automation to

open external files, but it doesn’t work with the SEARCH parameter. For instance:

Acrobat.exe /A "search=searchstring"PDFFileName”.

If I use it with a comman line (Run), it works perfectelly.

I’ve taken a look at the Acrobat and PDF Library API reference, but most of the stuff deals with the

PDF opening for URL.

Does anybody have any idea?

Thanks.

Hello,
I’ve tried the this code:

create(myShell);
myShell.Run('AcroRd32.exe /A “search=searchString” ‘“c:\test.pdf”’);
clear(myShell);

And it worked :slight_smile:

Globals: myShell Automation ‘Windows Script Host Object Model’.WshShell

You’re right!

Thanks a lot… I should use the correct Automation.
