My guess is what you’re referring to is the old “Employee Portal” available for the older versions. With new Dynamics NAV 2013 you have the Sharepoint Application Framework allowing you to run the whole application via Sharepoint (but also via a normal web browser).
The two user granules “Light user” and “Employee Self Service” users are also no longer available. Now you buy either a normal user (full rights) or a “limited user” (can read everything but only update 3 tables - of your choice). So it’s no longer the way you access your system, but how much you access.
