Navision text field not allowing field to be completely filled in.

We use Navision 5.0 SP1 and I created a new table with several text fields of 75. For some reason the most characters we can enter is around 50 characters even though it’s set for 75. The computer will stop you around 50 and won’t let you enter anymore.

Any ideas why this would happen??

Thanks in advance,

Greg

Possible option: a TextBox control has a property callled MaxLength. Any values entered there?

Luc,

MaxLength has <2048> in it.

Greg

you say," The computer will stop you around 50" can you verify the exact amount of chars?

looks like 75 to me

hi Lovejazz…

harry is right. it is 75 char…even the space and special characters are considered as a char. if you still have doubt then you can change the lenght to 50 and see…i think it will stop you around “McB…with”

All the best[Y]

My bad… Looks are deceiving…

I have increased a text field from 10 to 20 in the sale header table, but the invoice form still stop me from entering long than 10 characters. (from Form Designer, the data type still show Text10 in field menu)

what should I do?

Thanks in advance!
