Navision Service

Hi, We have a customer who is shutting the navision server service down for an overnight backup and db test, but once or even twice a week when he tries to start the service he gets a “Incorrect Function” and the only way the service will start is a reboot, the NTlog show’s nothing that could help and looking on the microsoft site is proving to be a waist of time Thanks in advance Garry Reed

Hi! You (your customer) could delete the DBMS.ZUP in NF-Server directory. Maybe the error occurs because this file is corrupted … Regards, Jörg Joerg A. Stryk Apollo-Optik, IT/ERP

If you are using commit cache, then try reducing the overall cache amount (or adding more RAM to the machine). To identify if this is the problem, try starting the server from a command line, and see if it works. I can’t tell you what the problem is, just how to fix it _________________________ David Singleton Navision Consultant since 1991 dmks22@home.com___________ Edited by - David Singleton on 2001 Dec 02 06:49:54
