Hi, I have problems with a Navision Attain 3.10 instalation. Scenario: -1 Server with the Navision Attain 3.10 Service installed OS W2K Server. Hot fix istalled -2 Servers with Terminal Services with Attain Clientes 3.10 + Hotfixes. -30 clients in LAN -30 clients in WAN by TS -the backup is realized by the hotcopy.exe so the Navision Services don’t stops. So, from time to time the Navision Server stops. It happend twice. Once in 9.01 and today 13.01 (maybe because is 13, but I don’t find the reason for 9.01 :-))))…) It seams that it have no connection with the others events from the system or application registry. The event ID is 7031 and the message is “The Navision Service stoped. It made it once. The system will realize the correction. It’s not necesary any intervention.” (more or less, because it is traduced from spanish). So any idea

Hola de España Graham, In our case, I felt that was a problem with the hardware of the server. So I spoke with HP, and they send to me 4 DIMMs to change 1 gb of RAM. So, changing that RAM the problem went of, we forgot it. But other day the server “died” and which was a problem? The RAM memory. It crashed down. One DIMM was out of job. So, HP service came and changed again the whole memory, and now my client is working normaly. By the way, we changed the executable version fron 3.10 to 3.60. Could be your problem, too? I don´t know … but I feel that is a hardware trouble. By from Spain
You should have at least Service Pack 3 on these servers, this was a quite common error with W2K servers a couple of years ago. Since you are running TS, I would hold off on SP 4 for a while, many issues noted.
