If you currently you work for a NSC and were to goto an end user for employment, does anybody know the implications of the personal license?
Hi Andrew I believe that the license is referenced to you as an individual at a certain company - the splash screen does say this when you say “I Accept”. When a new employee comes on board we have to get Navision to issue us with a new license - it is transferred from one NSC to another. I am pretty sure this would mean you would lose it as it is a combinaiton of individual and NSC, but I do not know this for certain. I would presume they would want the end user to purchase the designer granules/license rather than you taking it with you and them having the license for free - but I also believe there are subtle differences between the NSC developer license and an end user purchasing one [?] I suppose it is a bit difficult to ask this question quietly of Navision without kind of showing your hand! [:D]
The rules are VERY clear. A personal license is the combination of two things: 1/ A certified NSC, and 2/ A certified developer. So as long as you have passed the navision training requiremtns, and are employed by a certified Navision Soliution Center, you may use a personal license.
That is right. Otherwise customers could simply hire one certified employee for a day in the week without buying a developers license. Only option you can try is to become service partner. Then you will get a license of your own…
