Hi All, I am doing development in Navision Financials and its crashing everytime when error [eg. simple syntax error] generated. Did anyone know, Why this is happening?? Your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks, Uday
Never heard that before. Did you try another machine ?
Hi Uday Uninstall Attain completely and try to reinstall again. Kumar Edited by - mvgs on 2002 Feb 19 10:46:20
Hello, This has happened to a number of us at our NSC. Indeed this happened to me when I was doing a report writer training course with a customer [[:] … I can now actually crash Attain on request doing this - Design the Sales Invoice report & on the OnPreDataItem of the Sales Invoice Header, type the following: Calcfields( then using the C/AL Symbol editor select the following: CompanyInfo.Picture If you hit Return after you return to the report Attain will return an error (I have attempted to attach a screen dump of this, but do not seem to be able to…). Re-installing doesn’t seem to make a difference. I think the best thing to do is to report these things to Navision for correction in the next version. -------------------------------- Edward Bloomfield Navision Support Consultant Cambridge Online Systems Limited www.cambridgeonline.net
This happened to me quite often with 3.01 fin.exe but the 3.01b fin.exe is much more stable. Are you using the latest version. Paul Baxter
This is a known issue with 3.01A. The problem is gone in 3.01B. //Lars
3.01b maybe better but still not quite stable. I routinely but inconsistently get kicked out of the system in the CRM module, especially trying to do stuff with the interactions & doc management. Examples include “Error 33 in module 35” etc. Happened IN FRONT of our NTR guys during a discussion and in that case, even restarting would not help!
Attain has too much errors compared to older versions from Navision. Rumours are circulating that parts of Attain are made by the guys from Damgaard…
Great!!! Just reopen the “war” from the time before the merger . o O (what a load of BS) O o . Hello, Just for the record, I tried my gremlin out using GB3.01b executables as per Paul’s suggestion & the issue does not occur. Cheers -------------------------------- Edward Bloomfield Navision Support Consultant Cambridge Online Systems Limited www.cambridgeonline.net
Hi Uday, I had the same problem and got the following answer from Navision: if this occurs, the next time after the crash, first save the report, etc. without compiling and then with compiling. It works!? Michael
