Does anyone know anything about this. According to a powerpoint I found from the World Conference, it was supposed to be release in June, but I haven’t heard anything about it since. I was just curious whether this was just smoke and mirrors or we were going to see some new toys for development. Do you anything about this. According to attached PPT, it was supposed to be release in June, but I haven’t heard anything about it, only the stuff gleaned from World Conference Darren Bezzant Development Specialist dbezzant@csbsystems.com CSB Systems 1560 - 333 11th Avenue SW Calgary, Alberta T2R 1L9 Tel: (403) 233-2955 Fax: (403) 233-2957
Yes, it was supposed to be. Since you are in the US it will be released with Attain. The tool is similar to Impuls Workbench in the looks. It can compare and merge objects. Currently there are a few bugs in it; however, it’s a pretty handy tool.
Here in DK, it is available in a beta release, and it seems like a very nice tool. Soren Nielsen, moderator Integration/Developer NOLUG
How about the speed and ease of use? And has the automatic merge gotten any better? Is it usable for forms/reports? Best regards, Erik P. Ernst, webmaster Navision Online User Group
There are many areas in which the new developer’s toolkit exceeds. However, when it comes to merging - it’s always better to be safe and check out what the program suggest. Personally, I find the tool very easy to use and decently responsive. Yes, it’s usable for forms and reports. It will let you know on forms whether you have overlaping objects. Since I’ve only used it briefly (one - real upgrade) I can’t honestly comment to much more on it.

Does this mean that it’s better than the Merge tool we have now? I don’t quite understand what you write - I don’t need Merge or NDT to tell me if I have overlapping objects. If we talk overlapping controls (within the individual objects), then it’s another deal. That would be nice. Best regards, Erik P. Ernst, webmaster Navision Online User Group
Erik. I apoligize for my confusion. I did mean controls.
