I am trying to create a Database Maintenance Plan for a Navision Database 3.10A that is growing at a very rapid pace (from 5GB in September 2002 to 22GB today). I am looking for examples from your experiences when dealing with rapid growing Navision databases in the following areas: 1. What database tests to run and how often? 2. How often to run table optimization? 3. Is Navision Backup/Restore better than the two options above, and how often to run it? 5. A recommended method of automating the Navision Backup. I am currently evaluating “expandit”. 6. Any suggestions on what tables to compress and how often,in order to manage the growing size? Any other suggestions on the subject would be apreciated.
