Navision Beep command

Hi, Anyone every written a tune using the BEEP command in Navision? [8D]

Yes - Akers, the guy who started the infamous Jaffa Cake thread, managed to implement an annoying tune that only played when the USERID was mine…

Justin - No! Don’t do it!

Hmmm… Kristian has given me an idea… [}:)] Mind you, opens up new avenues for creating a more involving user enviroment - When running a report and the figures are bad, it could play the death march The manufacturing module could play ‘If I had a hammer’ Or you could get the Main Menu to play ‘I don’t like mondays’ or ‘Friday I’m in Love’ depending on the day of the week…

If you can replicate them using then Navision beep you’re a more talented person than I. On the other hand, send me the code for ‘Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur,’ and I’ll pay you for it…

Is that to the tune of ‘When the Saints go marching in’? (you can write what I know about football on the back of a postage stamp!)

I once did a project with a building company and my contact their was called Bob, so you have guessed it I did a mod so when Bob logged in the command HYPERLINK(’//Machine/share/Bobthebuilder.mp3’) was ran. Paul Baxter

Does anyone remember the “Magic Mushroom” Floppy, that played the Magic Mushroom song using a PC beep?

Well, thanks soooo much Kristian… I have just completely wasted 1/2 hour of my valuble time being completely engrossed in the very long jaffa cake saga… I must have missed it at the time but please can I extend my congratulations to you guys in the channel islands for launching a topic that seemed to really capture the zeitgeist! Makes you proud to be British doesn’t it? A

p.s. in case it was lost on anyone, my sarcasm above was meant to be humorous [:o)]

I did have a program that played Axel F on the BBC micro… Ah, those were the days, etc etc [^] However, on the subject of wasting time, Dukes Of Hazzard fans will want to cut ‘n’ paste this code… [:D] BEEP(396,125); BEEP(330,125); BEEP(264,250); BEEP(264,250); BEEP(264,125); BEEP(297,125); BEEP(330,125); BEEP(352,125); BEEP(396,250); BEEP(396,250); BEEP(396,250); BEEP(330,250);

Cool [:D] [:D] [:D]

Hi I agree with Alison. Cool [:D]! In most of the (Navision)-cases this is recommended [}:)]: BEEP(300,400); BEEP(396,400); BEEP(300,400); BEEP(396,400); BEEP(300,400); BEEP(396,400); Other ideas / tracks? bye André

How about this one. I revived an old ‘project’… http://80.197.209.134/Keyboard.jpg

LOL [:D]! Navision Add-On for record studios and bands. Instead of ERP => MRP = Music Record Program [:D]. Cool!

On April the 1st i once used this as a “login script” for a special friend :wink: FOR i := 1 TO 4 DO BEGIN BEEP(250,500); SLEEP(500); END; SLEEP(2000); i := 400; k := 600; m := 4; FOR j := 1 TO 3 DO BEGIN WHILE i <= k DO BEGIN BEEP(i,m); BEEP(i+200,m); BEEP(i+500,m); i := i + 10 END; WHILE i >= 400 DO BEGIN BEEP(i,m); BEEP(i+200,m); BEEP(i+500,m); i := i - 10 END; k := k + 100; m := m - 1; END;

Thanks Alison - we’re always pleased to see our literary talents appreciated. [;)] Hmmm… I have to wonder if it’s pure coincidence that you ‘researched’ that thread at the exact moment that I was sat a couple of rooms away in your office…

Ummm… don’t know what to say really [:I] apart from look forward to seeing you soon!! [:D] We’re a pretty friendly bunch - it’s pressured and, like all places, has its faults, but I think you will like us…

I’m looking forward to it. Well, about 80% looking forward to it against 20% nervous as hell… Anyway, guess I’ll see you in a month or so. In the mean time, I assure you that I don’t usually spend my working hours obsessing about Jaffa Cakes and things like that… Erm… apologies to the rest of you for straying off-topic a bit here!
