Hi, I am upgrading our Citrix Farm to Windows Server 2003 SP1 and have run into a problem installing the Navision client. We are using Attain 3.10A. (I know this is old, but it does what we need) The client installs fine if Terminal Services is not installed. When Terminal Services is installed, the installation gets all the way to the end, then rolls back. Anyone have any ideas? TIA, Michael.
Are you taking the following steps? 1. Installing as a user that is an administrator on the TS machine. 2. Installing from control panel - add/remove programs.
Are you running in Install Mode?
Have you been thinking about upgrading at least the server and clients to 4.0 SP1 but not the database ? System would still be doing what you want, but would give great new options for the develpoment.
I agree with Thomas. I have been telling peope ot to use 4.00 executables, but to wait till SP1 is realeased. Now that it is realeased, adn it looks like a good stable version, I am recommending users to move to 4.00SP1 executables.
Hi,
We were in an identical situation and the following procedure worked for me:
-
Install the Version 3.10 Navision Attain Client before installing Terminal services on a Server 2003.
-
If Terminal services have already been installed, uninstall them and then install the v3.10 client.
Afterward you reinstall Terminal services.
If you are running Citrix on top of the TS, you better go to the control panel, “Add, Remove programs” and select “Repair” for your Citrix installation, otherwise they wont work properly.
Regards,
Marc
