Hi! I have navision 3.60 with its own database running. I have installed the server software on drive c in my computer (IP 192.168.200.25). Because on my drive c: is not enough place I want to get my databas on a network share (drive v in explorer - \192.168.200.92\f$\navidb) In the New Database window I make the following entries: servername: 192.168.200.25 databasename: v:\f.fdb I get the following errormessage: the operating system could not find the path for v:\f.fdb… Could I only create a new navision database on my local navision server? Thanks!
Normal share would probably help - not administrative. so not \192.168.200.92\f$\navidb but \server\navidb as drive V Tõnu

sorry is also not going!
You must run the server service as a user with priveliges to map network shares. It will not work if You server runs as LocalSystem

I tried the navision service with the active directory administrator - the same problem. On my computer is windows xp running - is that a problem. On that drive share I can in explorer make new folder, text files… It seems that I have all rights. But what is then my problem?
I nothing work then try creating a db on that share from navision client. If you can then you must be able to access it in other ways also if not then check user share rights.
Even if you get this to work, I wonder if you might end up with data corruptions. I think it would be probably cheaper to just buy another disk
