NAV 5.0 - Error: You must not specify expiration date in tracking specification no.= '1' - (CK-NAV 29-Oct-2009)

Hi Everyone,

When attempting to post a Transfer Receipt, I get the error message “you must not specify expiration date in tracking specification no.= ‘1’”. I am not making too much headway resolving this. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Thanks,

CK.

Do you have a date in the item tracking?

you need to see the affected item that rise this error, and note it.

once you know the item no, go to Item Card, Item Tracking tab, see if you fill Expiration Date Calculation. if yes, make this empty.

of not filled, Item Tracking Code should have filled with ‘1’. open this to see Item Tracking Code Card. In Misc. tab, check your date formula you have filled into those fields, and the check marks.

if you are not sure, make all blank. then re-do the transfer posting, see if it’s fine.

Thanks Joe, your suggestion worked:

I simply figured out which was the offending line on the Transfer Order. (It shows as posting Transfer Lines … 4) then posting the receipt.

I opened the Item Card for the Item on Line 4 of the Transfer Order.

I remove the Expiration Date Calculation for that Item.

I posted the Transfer Receipt which worked fine.

I put back the Expiration Date Calculation for the Item.

Cheers,

CK.
