NAV 4.0 and 3.7 on the same SQL server

hello,

we use MS SQL Server 2000 and run a 3.7 navision database on it and odbc drivers. now we did an upgrade to 4.01 and I installed the new 4.01 client on a workstation.

when i try to connect to the new database I get an error that the SQL ODBC driver information is old and that i need to upgrade it.

if i do so, will i still be able to access the 3.7 database and all its functionality?

Hi Sonja,

If you are refering to the SQL extended stored procedure. xp_ndo.dll. then Yes, it is backward compatible.

Make sure that you have also the recent versions of ODBC and MDAC installed!
