NAV 2013 (not R2) export excel

HI,

we have a few users who have been able to export to excel using Ctrl+E but this seems to have stopped working, when you press Ctrl+E excel opens up but no data is populated.

everyone is running Windows 7 64bit with office 2010 pro.

Many thanks

Matt

In this case it’s necessary to reinstall the Excel Add-in: in the “RoleTailoredClient” directory of the installation folder run the file “Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.ExcelAddin.vsto”, it should work.

Hi, I’ve run the file and tried it, do difference, I gave the pc a reboot just in case and still the same, excel opens with a file name that matches the list your looking at but to data appears.

sorry no difference not do difference

Which build are you using? KB no. 2888350 (https://mbs.microsoft.com/knowledgebase/KBDisplay.aspx?scid=kb%3bEN-US%3b2888350) was included in CU7 (build no. 35488) to solve this issue.

Where would I go to find this out?

To check your build from dev. env. go to Help → “About Dynamics NAV dev. env.”.

For downloading the CU refer to the links provided by NAV team: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/nav/archive/2015/01/24/cumulative-update-22-for-microsoft-dynamics-nav-2013-has-been-released.aspx
