Hi. I am having a problem with Navision application server. After setting up all the parameters and starting the service, NAS starts and then stops after a few seconds. In the Computer Management, application event view I can see the following error message: “The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: nassql.exe, 3.70.1.16172, 403c0679, nassql.exe, 3.70.1.16172, 403c0679, 0, 0000e60f.” I am not able to find any further information. Does anybody have any idea regarding this?? Thanks, Avi
I recommend You to start You NAS from command promt to verify You setup. When everything runs fine You add “installasservice” to Your parameters. After that You change the user for the NAS Service to a user that You have set up as a windows login in Navision and start Your service. When running from command promt it’s Your own user that NAS uses to log on to Navision since it’s You who are executing from command promt. Hope that helps! //Lars
