Has anybody developed a modification that allows different Production BOMs per location (using Manufacturing)? We were planning on developing our own mod using the Stockkeeping unit cards to assign the BOM/location combination to the item number but was wondering if anybody has already looked into this and came across any problems.
Kris, I did a custom mod for another Partner that allowed the use of different Routers for different locations. All was controlled via the SKU table. I do not have a copy of the code available as it was done under contract for the Partner. There were no major surprises in the effort, just the usual careful analysis, coding and testing. So I believe what you describe is quite doable.
