hi,

backup db from ms navision, i notice that my backup file split into 2 files. is this normal?

Yes - it reached the max size of 2Gb. (that was max possible size filesystem could handle in those old days, when nobody could imagine we will measure our HDD sizes in TERAbytes…)

When restoring, you need to choose the first file only, Navision will find the remaining file(s) itself, given they are in the same directory.

A tip - from now on name your file bkp like something_1 - other part(s) will be named then something_2 and so on.
