Movement Journal - Department Dimension

I am trying to set up a movement journal to issue factory supplies from one department to another. The GL accounts for the debit and credit are same with the exception of the department dimension (ie, credit an expense to one department and debit the same expense to another). The problem is that the movement journal cannot be set up to have different departments for the offset.

Any suggestions to make this work or maybe another journal type can resolve my issue?

I feel this can only be handled with Cost Accounting…

First of all if you are moving any item from one department to another then it is not movement journal. this is called transfer journal. and in that case you can select financial dimension (viz Department).
