Wanting to add my plugin to the main menu in Navision but it says I don’t have permission to modify the MBS MenuSuite. Is it not recommended to modify the MenuSuite or do I need to purchase an additional license? Thanks!
You modify the menus by making your own menu suite objects that sit ‘on top of’ the MBS object, which remains untouched. You do this by creating a new menu suite object from the object designer and choosing the level at which your menu will be placed (or choose Navigation Pane Designer from the Tools menu which will always design the Company level menu). There are some consequences to the level you choose and how menus are merged into one final menu for a user. If you search this site or refer to the docs on menu suites you’ll get more help.
