This is the error message shown bellow:

This is what the user is attempting to do to get this error:

warehouse, whse recpt lines,
search for item comes up with PO, fill qty to receive
add line item tracking add in lot no. and qty base,
post - post receipt. -

nav then crashing intermittently.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Lee,

A few questions to help us better understand your problem.

What happens if another user try to post the the same receipt? If some users can post while others cannot then there might be a security/permission problem.

And does this only happen on this particular receipt or for all receipts posted by the user? If only this, then you should check exactly what is wrong in the setup of those two different receipts?

Appreciate the quick reply.

If another user of the same machine build - type does this they get the same error and th same crash. Where would the permissions need to be similar on another machine?

I am unable to consistently test this as we are running a live system and users are regularly on their machines.

This issue seems to happen on all receipts, as far as I am aware. The warehouse manager has replied to me stating “This crash happens with any transactions that clash with another user”.

Further information,

This is from the warehouse manager:

"When saving item tracking on any transaction (item journal, receipts, consumption …).

For example on an item journal when performing a negative transaction we would use LINE > ITEM TRACKING LINES > FUNCTIONS > SELECT ENTRIES……At this point after selecting the entries (lot numbers required ) we would press ESC to move back to the transaction and the lot numbers selected would save. This is when the crash occurs.

Hope this helps.

Hi Lee,

I think that it’s about the time where you have to call your partner to get them to help with this. It might even come down to an error in the application, which requires an update of the build you’re running. But to solve this, then it needs some serious debugging.

Much appreciated.

You’re welcome. We hope (expect) that you’re coming back and tell us what was the solution. [:)]
