Microsoft Hotfix Information

Hello!

I am using Dynamics AX 2009, I have taken customer source also. I have implementing paterners also with me. If any new hotfixes released from Microsoft then it is necessary that our channel patner should / compulsory inform us about that? Or I have to keep checking under customer source? If I asked about hotfix from my implementing partner then it is necessary that they will charge me under AMC?

Hi Suvarna,

Hotfixes are released by MS periodically and that is basically for solving bugs. If in the application there is any bug which you are facing, please inform your partner, they will come up with solution.

There can be hotfixes which are released for a module which you are not using. So its not mandatory to install all the hotfixes. Secondly hotfixes installation can be a complex process depending on the volume of customization in the application.

thanks for your information, it is really useful for me. But still I want to know - If I asked about hotfix from my implementing partner then it is necessary that they will charge me under AMC?
