I noticed that the calculation of Maintenance Fees differs between countries. I like to know which is common practice:
- Maintenance fees based upon Gross License Amount
- Maintenance fees based upon Gross License Amount -/- VPO Discount
Hi, In all situations I’ve encountered the maintenance fee was calculated over the list price - discounts are nice, but only once. I’ve always secured the repeat business! In situations where this was not the case, we always established a new maintenance policy, excluding the discounts. This includes h/w and s/w maintenance and industrial appliances - all of them in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK. Of course the various items had different percentages, h/w for instance had a lower annual percentage than s/w.
