LICENCE_Limited Connexion in NAV

Hi Guys

Am getting a funny error on NAV with 1 of my client.

All the users were connected and after a sudden power failure, all users got disconected. Back to normal with power, after reconnecting, some users are getting the message “you do not have enough licence for more users to connect etc…”

You will obviously think to get some users to disconnect, but when i checked the licence state on the server, it shows only 1 user connected (which was me) out of 21 licences…

Can anyone help on this please?

Hi,

SQL or Native?

I suspect it’s native and you have connected to the database directly and not through the database server

It is indeed a native database.

Haw can i check if the users are connected directly or through the DB server? Shall i check that for each user?

Hi,

If you go to File → Database → Information and go to the connection tab, you will see the radio button indicating Local or Server.

I am connecting to the server through rdp ( obviously i think it will show local). Will try to verify on the user’s PC

This is your problem. Even though you are connecting from the server, you should be using the database server and have a server connection otherwise this connection will lock all other user out of the database.
