Hi All, How the development licence is depend on Database Version ?? How can a new granule, new object or new field, new menus, and sub menus can be accessed which belongs to the new(say 3.60) version, when I am using the earlier version(say 3.10) development licence ?? Regards Rajasekhar Venumala
Hi You just cann’t access the New modules with the old licence. Each licence has got objects defined in it and u can only access those objects. As in your case u can access objects which were there in 3.1 licence but not the new ones which have been added to 3.6. Rajan
hi Get an updated license from your NTR. There is no other way. Regards
Dear Chadha, What is said is wrong…Just I accessed a table which was not in 3.10 and which in 3.60 with 3.10 development licence. Again the same doubt …i.e. how the licence of earlier version development licence is controlling the new version database ?? Regards, Rajasekhar Venumala
Hi Harikesh, I know that I can get it from NTR. I think this is not the answer to my question. Regards, Rajasekhar Venumala
Well, your license has object ranges, so anything within those object ranges you can access, and anything outside those ranges you can’t. If a new version of Navision includes a new object for which you already have a license, then you will be able to open it with your old license. If the new object is outside that range you won’t be able to open it. It’s simple, really. Anytime that MS comes with a new version, you should just get your license updated. You should not be working with a 3.10 license anymore. I wonder even if you’re not working with an old license and resetting your computer’s date to work with it. It’s been more than a year since they upgraded from 3.10
