I have a query abt the update latest cost at item level

Example

On 1st Jan, I bought 10 items @ 10 per unit

On 3rd Jan, I bought 10 items @ 12 per unit

on 5th Jan, 20 item have been consumed and a movement journal has been passed with -20 quantity.

system automatically takes 12 per unit and in value report the shows -20 for 0 itms.

Please explain…

It will depend upon your costing method in part - what is it?

-20 for 0 itms? What does that mean? You have 0 in stock now as you have written them off through a movement journal - it takes the 12 until you tun the inventory close recalculation - have you done that? If not run it and look at the inventory transaction again.
