I’m looking for a solution that supports KIT’s in Navision. What I’m think of is a solution that will allow me to sell i.e. a product called 1234, but when printing the picking notes, it must print the sub-items. Any directions are welcome…
Hello Erik, we have a solution containing two ways to do this: a) using phantom items b) using "parcelled items b) is the simplest to implement. The parcelled item acts more or less like a text line on the sales order, also summing up the “kit price” = the sum of the prices of the components. The solution is developed by Softronic in Malmö. Greetings from Göteborg Pelle
Hi Pelle, Sounds very interesting. The next thing is that it must work with both warehouse management and eShip! How are you handling the fact that if you have price and values on the lines, that they will count the order totals etc. - and thus giving double amounts? How are you implementing the first solution?
Hello Erik a) I don’t know anything about warehouse stuff. We don’t integrate Navision with eShip, so I couldn’t tell. b) Don’t fully understand. But in i.e. order statistics, the order lines with line type parcelled is excluded. c) Phantoms: A separate table “Sales Requirements”. When a phantom is entered on an order line, the “Sales Requirements” table gets populated with the components, and with the phantom with reverse sign. When posting shipment, “Sales Requirements” lines are included. Of course this requires a lot of customisations in posting routines etc. to work properly. It also affects how cost is calculated and also how the materials list is created in production. But it is a neat addition, that simulates the functionality of leagacy MRP programs. Greeting from a sunny Göteborg Pelle
Thanks. I’ll try to contact Softronic in Malmö. (But why aren’t they online themselves??? [;)]
