Hi all!

Does anyone here has worked with Job Manager in a manufacturing areaÉ I have a customer who use job manager with production orders BUT It looks like there is no integration btw job manager and production order . Abny help pleaseÉ

Hi Erick,

I have a client that has Job manager to manage jobs in manufcaturing environment. Youcan track all your actual costs and compare that to what you initially budgeted.

So I need to know if other users have come across some issues such as:

  • Running Inventory adjustnment rutine that last around 6hrs!!!

  • Managereleased production orders in the Job itself

It’s difficult to me to comment such add-on, since most of us don’t know the add-on that you are referring.
I guess you are referring to report “Adjust Cost - Item Entries”. That report some times can take quite long to run. Time is related to number of entries, frequency that you adjust, etc. Some Navidion versions had problems. Can you tell your version? Most Manufacturing companies have heavy customizations to support their specific needs, probably you should contact add-on vendor to give you correct support. Are you working with JIT manufacturing?

Yes the cost Roll Up refers to `'Adjust cost - items entries`` . I know that the report can take sometime. We are using Nav4 Sp2. No there is no just in time manufacturing. They have almost 65000 entries and I already contact Cost Control Software which is the company that builds the Add On. My question was only to know if people here have already seen that issue.

If you have 65 000 entries and it’s the first time you run adjust cost it can take a few hours. Don’t forget that if you have activated automatic update analysis it will taker even long.
