As a solution centre, we are experiencing problems with implementing systems with Item Tracking functionality in 3.60 (specifically relating to integration with Reservations, Warehouse Management and Manufacturing). The item tracking functionality in 3.10 was completely rewritten in 3.60 and it appears as though it is still not quite right. Is anyone else experiencing simalar problems? Is anyone aware of any amendments to this functionality in 3.70? I know that 3.70 consists mainly of bug fixes, but do not have any details of what these fixes relate to…
If you look at the code in form 6510 … slightly overengineered ? - The blocked flag on the SN/Lot N° information card no longer prevents a user to sell the product. It does seem to work when you set the Lot No Info Must Exist flag. - Conflict make 2 purchase order receipts : LOT1, LOT2 this results in 2 Item Ledger Entries : 1 and 2. make a sales order, item tracking and select LOT1. assign Item Ledger Entry 2 (which is LOT2) to the sales line : via the field Appl.-to Item Entry => you can post without any issue : you get a posted tracking of LOT1, and when you look at the ILE, the remaining quantity of Item Ledger Entry 2 is now one less … I would have guessed that we would get an error on post of the shipment saying we have provided conflicting information. - The Systems looses the order tracking when changing the vendor No. Take Item No. LSE-8 Vendor No. 60000 (in the Item Card) Vendor No. 61000 (in Item Vendor Catalog) Let the field “Lead Time Calculation” empty. There are > 10 fixes for W1 (don’t know if they al relate to tracking). The best fix is probably 3.70 [:D]
I have implmented full lot control at a client and experienced numerous problems. Basically the response from Navision is to upgrade to 3.7 Rounding on sales and purchaser orders as mentioned above. Stray reservation entries preventing output journal posts. Issues with undo shipment/receive and lot controled item. Reservation entries not carried to lots… There is more.
