Hi Is it possible to modify the product name of the released product in AX 2012? I know that we can modify the “product number” of the product.

Hi Patrick,

I think u cannot change the name of the product in the released product form in AX 2012. But you can change the item number by using the Record info functionality.

yeah its possible…in product master go to translations, select your language and you can change the product name and description

Thank you so much for this simple yet important piece of advice … as a presales consultant, I often setup new items for demos because I could never work out how to change the Name …

one more option, go to All products and product master in PIM module. select the product number and click edit in maintain tab. now product name text box will be editable. (Then check in released products tab, it will automatically change)
