Is active directory necessary for the installation of the commerce server?? When I installed commerce server 2002, I had to enter a login for to start the services. I used the administrator login with the computer name as domain, the installation fails. When I installed active directory and re-enter the administrator login with the new domain name, then it succeeds… but commerce portal don’t…

It seems very strange to have AD installed for Commercer Server ! Commerce Server support login stored in AD, but it doesn’t like to be a requisite at all for Commerce Portal.
