I have a scenario that i have to upload only Netweight field for all the item codes. When i try to create the template with only Netweight field, along with the Item ID the Item group, Inventory model group & Dimension group are coming as mandatory. I couldnt exclude these 3 additional fields from my template. If i fill-up the data in these 3 fields, thiw will get overwrite with the existing value or this 3 fields are only used for validation?

It should not update with new values for Item group, Inventory model group & Dimension group if the transactions are exist.
Anyway just test for a item in the Test environment before running it Production and check the consequences.
Mention your Ax version . I hope its AX2009.

Hi, unfortunately it is over writing. Thanks a lot i didn’t imported in live. 
If it’s updating InventTable with new values for Item group, Inventory model group & Dimension group even though the transactions are exist.
then it’s wrong and go for alternative.

are you trying to achieve update only new records for net amount?
existing net price for item respect to item group and model group should be as it is?
