Intercompany set up for Bank

we have faced one issue where we need to transfer from one bank account to another bank account of intercompany. Bank name is same only currency they are dealing is different.

For example, we have HSBC account in USA (in $) as well as In India (in Rs). now I want to transfer Rs. 50,000 to USA account. so for that in indian company we have selected entry as follows

HSBC ($) ------ Dr 50000

HSBC (Rs.) Cr 50000

but in this case we face two errors

  1. Intercompany set up for company ‘USA’ is not available

  2. HSBC ($) does not support the transaction in Rs.

if we change the currency in $ then it shows following two erro

  1. Intercompany set up for company ‘USA’ is not available

  2. HSBC (Rs) does not support the transaction in $.

I don’t find what is the issue. i have already made set up for processing intercompany transaction and it is already working for Payable and Receivable. Then what extra set up is required for Bank intercompany.

Hello,

For the second error - “HSBC ($) does not support the transaction in Rs”.

It is probably caused by the bank account master, the option “more currencies”.

If you want to allow multiple currency transaction to be posted on the bank account, you need to select the “more currencies” option.

I forgot to make two basic set up

  1. Intercomapny set up for General Ledger

  2. Allowing multiple currency through option as you said.
