Installaing AX 2009 on stand alone windows XP with SQL Server 2005 Express

All,

I was able to install MS AX 2009 SP1 successfully on a windows XP SP3 machine successfully with SQL Server 2005 Express as back end. After completing the installation , when i try to run the AX 2009 configuration , it pops up with a two windows one with Installing Checklist on the left frame and other with Customer feedback. The problem is , the windows never get completed and the Hour mouse keeps running for ever. I found the AX AOS Service is running fine … Can you please help me with completing the Installation Checklist with any other options and not getting the Configuration form running for ever,

Hi Sreenivas,

The Checklist after the installation will run for 3-4 hours completely you should be patient till it gets completed, run the checklist process one by one, dont try to perform multitasking if your ram speed and processor are of minimun configurations. It will be completed successfully.
