Andersson This message was posted in a Navision Canada help document for the error message you have experienced with Syncronization Management: “Creating a new company: Put your solution center license on the machine, create the new company, then put your customers license back on” James

James McLachlin What you mean is that I’m supposed to have a solution center licens file before i’m able to create a company and get started working with the accounts etc.?

No, but there is an error in Attain 3.10 which prohibits you from creating a new company. The error occurs because the program tries to synchronize with the Commerce Portal product. However, you haven’t licenced that product (and you probably don’t need it), and because of that you get the error. So, the remedy is, until the error is fixed, that you have the company you bought Attain from create the company for you, and then you’re ready to go. So it seems that the value of our new Attain licens can rise from zero. Another problem we have detected while working on the installing of the program, is that within the cronus test company where we were supposed to work with a configuration exactly to the license we bought. All though we cannot get acces to ‘chart of accounts’ error message is that of having no permission to read ‘currency table’. There might be more we cant acces without permission to ‘currency table’???

No, that’s not right. You are not able to work with the CRONUS company with your own license. The reason for this is that the CRONUS company holds data in tables, that you have not bought permission to use (like the Currency table). If you want to use the CRONUS company, switch to the demo license file, located in the Attain folder. Goto Tools, License and use the button “Change” and then select the file “cronus.flf”. This will temporarily switch to the demo license, until you change it back or close the program. You will not encounter the error you mention in your own company, as you will never create data in tables you have no access to. At last the error was fixed with a set of objects, and we can create a company and a set of test cronus companies and it seems to work as supposed. Thank you to James and Lars for your helpful participation. Peter Andersson
