Is there a NAV native report that shows income statements by customer, and also gross margin/field margin by customer?

You could simply create one by Analysis Reports feature!
It is usually available in: Sales & Marketing ->Analysis & Reporting → Analysis Reports
The Setup is availble there also in Analysis & Reporting where you can define your Lines (your customer(s) here) and columns (its GM, GP, etc…)
Report Snapshot:
Line Setup snapshot (you could have multipe customers and group them):
columns setup snapshot (you can enter formulas based on what you wanna calculate)
