Importance of the Depreciation books

Hi ,

With out creating the bepreciation books also , i can pass the depreciation for an asset in Ax 2009 .

( created Deprciaiton profile ( selected the Depreciation method ) & Posting profiles,

attached the depreciation profile to Value model

attached the value model to FA group

attached the FA group to FA )

I didnot understand what is the importance of the depreciation books in AX 2009 ?

In AX, you have two options to post depreciation as per tax. One is Posting layer and the other is depreciation book.

Option is yours as per requirement.
