Hi Teena & Welcome to Dynamics User Group,
Firstly, to get quicker and better response now onwards please post the query in right forum, your question is about NAV and you have posted in Ax forum.

Hi Teena,
using dataport u can import chart of account…
in nav 2009 this is the way to import all…
Hi Teena…
We can Import chart of accounts using Dataport… U have an excel file of ur chart of accounts. you have to arange the columns in a particular way. You have to keep your columns according to the order of in column in your Navision. the common format is given below…
No I Name I Income/ balance I Account Type etc…
then save excel file in .CSV format. then open ur NAV and take object designer - Data port then click on NEW button and in that window, select G/L account in Drill down. then press " esc " then give yes when ask to save changes. then give ID ( it should be greater than 50000) give description andpress Ok. the press design. take view and click field menu and select the columns you want. then click dataport fields and click ok… Then Run the created data port. and give the path in the Options Tab. make sure that we selected in the import field. then press OK… thats all…[:D]
