Other than the RIM toolkit, does anyone know of an implementation and/or Upgrade course or manual? We have a client that is about to upgrade from 2.6 to 4.0 and we have another client switching over from Quickbooks. We would like to make sure we get this done correctly and as efficiently as possible.
I cannot tell from your profile but the reference to clients would indicate you are a partner, and therefore partnersource has all of the relevant tools and manuals to run a 2.6 to 4.0 upgrade.
This is basically what I do, but at the moment I do NSC training on a one on one basis, but reading between the lines I gather you are after classroom training.
I am plannning to start doing the training as classroom training, but that wont be till early next year.
If the headache goes to long on the upgrade.
Keep is simple if you want.
Tell the client to fade out the 2.60 version and use the new version 4.0 SP3 this point on.
Did I tell you that Navision 4.0 has its own simple end-user dataport to bring master records in.
Such as:
Customers
Vendors
GL Accounts
Items
etc.
Go to the Administration Module → Application Setup → General → Setup Checklist.
In the form select the button at the bottom [Function] then look at both the Implementation and Excel Mapping Tool.
Great tool to use and makes things simple.
This will save you money and get the client going forward with the new version/training alot quicker.
