Identical released product variants

Hi All,

I am using product variants for jewelry industry and I want to know if it is possible to create identical Released product variant with different variant number

Eg,

Varianit number 0000567
Product Name - Ring
Configuration - Men
Size - 4.5
Color - Grey

Qty - 1
,
Varianit number 0000568
Product Name - Ring
Configuration - Men
Size - 4.5
Color - Grey
Qty - 1

while trying to achieve this scenario I am getting on this error= Product variant with specified dimensions has already been. created.

Regarding to the product dimension is there any way to make Configuration fields with number of sequence ?

Thanks
BR

It clearly says that you have the same dimensions and that is not allowed.

Configuration - Men

Size - 4.5

Color - Grey

Can you explain in detail?

HI kranthi,

Thanks for your reply

Is there any way to make Configuration or Color or size with number of sequence ?

My requirement is: every released product variants, it should has quantity equal to one, the only diference is on Gram and charge

On the other hand one product variants e.g RING may have 3k released prouct

1#

Product name: Ring
Configuration : 00001 (Number of sequence )
Size: 4.5
Color: Grey

2#

Product name: Ring
Configuration : 00002 (Number of sequence )
Size: 4.5
Color: Grey

Thanks

There is an option to generate configuration id by using number sequence, but that only applies for constraint based configuration and by using the product configurator. If you are manually creating the configuration then there is no number sequence to generate the config id automatically.

Hi Kranthi,

Product configurator is not suitable for us, we are using dimension-based-configuration, is there any way to develop with x++ to generate configuration id using number of sequence

Thanks for your help

BR

Yes. Possible with a customization. Have the developer to do that.

HI kranthi,

I am new in X++ , Could be more specific how to achieve this

Thanks

You can find number of examples over web about creating new number sequence. Let us know if you have any specific questions. You can always create a new post related to your development questions in Developer forum.
