Human Resources AX 2012

Quick question for you all:

My client wants the minimum functionality when it comes to HR. All they want is first and last name of the workers.

I can create that, but what about email and phones?

How do i go about this process? If they have 350 workers can i easily import this info? or enter each worker manually?

Do i need to create departments? hierarchy or not? Would AX require more than just first and last name?

Please advise.
