How to take an exam on Navision ?

Hi all, I’d like to take an exam on Navision. I am living in Toronto, Canada. How can I do it ? Andrei

Register for the test on http://www.vue.com

Do I have work for an NSC to be eligible for Navision certification exams? Andrei, pls keep me posted when you get a sched. & requirements. I also live in Toronto and I am planning to take exams for Navision.

Randy and Andrei, As far as I know, non-NSC employees are not eligible to take Navision Certification exams (unless something has changed lately). I have heard of end-users attending Microsoft Training with an NSC sponsor, but I don’t think this is a policy, just an exception. Some of the larger NSC’s offer end-user training. This training is usually only available to their clients. The final result wouldn’t be a certification, but it would be a better knowledge of that area. In the case of development, some end-user training from your NSC can make life easier for everyone especially if both parties plan to do development.

Hi Chris I think this is now changed - VUE is a public entry site for all Microsoft exams offered, if you have registered with the site, theoretically nothing stops you booking and sitting exams - however you will never have been on the course, so you may find it difficult.

This is true, anyone can register for exams, but if you don’t have the .PDF files to study or go to a class, it’s going to be difficult. I’m taking the Gateway exam (in the US, it covers the Overview and Essentials) next week, and I’ve just been studying the files on Partner Source (https://www.greatplains.com/PartnerSource/). If you have an ID, simply login, go to Training and Certification on the side menu, and click on Training Materials. A page should load with different training materials, so click on Navision Training Manuals. This page should have everything one needs to pass the Gateway exam or either the Overview or Essentials. I think. [:D] Good luck to those taking the test! I’ll be suffering with you. [:I]

I also live in the Toronto Area and would be interested in finding out if it is possible to become Microsoft Certified Navision Programmer. Also has anyone taken the developer training with Microsoft while not working for an NSC in North America??? If so who is your NSC??? Robert [?]

Hi Robert I think Liberty Grove offer this - check out the sponsors page on this site for the details. I am sure others must do it as well - we will wait fot the posts . . . . .
